With its gasoline-powered 6.6-liter engine, the Chevy Silverado HD lineup produces up to 401 horsepower and 464 pound-feet of torque. You can also opt for the available 6.6-liter Duramax® diesel engine and enjoy up to 445 horsepower and 910 pound-feet of torque.
Capability
Depending upon which new Chevy Silverado HD model you opt for, you'll have a different maximum towing capacity. With the new Chevy Silverado 2500HD, you'll be able to tow up to 18,510 pounds. On the other hand, the new Chevy Silverado 3500HD can tow up to 36,000 pounds when properly equipped.
